Notes
'Lycopodioides' hinoki cypress (Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Lycopodioides') is a tree for specimen planting, rock gardens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows at a moderate pace into a broad evergreen that reaches 10 to 20 feet tall. The foliage stays green all year, so it adds color to the garden in winter.
Pairs well with Hicksii yew, Green Spice coral bells, and Christmas fern.
