Notes

'Mac' coneflower (Echinacea 'Mac') is a perennial for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It bears yellow, fragrant blooms from early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Blue grama, and Garlic chives.
