Notes

'Madame Geissler' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Madame Geissler') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant double flowers open rose-pink with silver tips in late spring and early summer, then age to white. The stems are weak at the base, so give them support. François-Félix Crousse bred it.

Pairs well with Smooth aster, Carnaval De Nice tulip, and Cinnamon fern.
