Notes

Madeira orchid (Dactylorhiza foliosa) is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and spreads about 12 inches. Flowers open in spring and again in summer, so you get two rounds of color.

Pairs well with Praying Hands hosta, Cobra lily, and Mondo grass.
