Notes

'Praying Hands' hosta (Hosta 'Praying Hands') is a perennial for shade gardens, borders, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Dark green leaves are crinkled and folded, with a narrow cream border that looks like hands in prayer. Light lavender flowers rise above the upright clumps in late summer.

Pairs well with Fringed bleeding heart, Mount Hood daffodil, and Coral Charm peony.
