Notes

'Madelon' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Madelon') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its large double blooms open in late spring with a clean, fresh fragrance. The pink flowers have an old-rose tint in the center and fade lighter quickly. Auguste Dessert bred it, and its strong stems hold the heavy blooms.

Pairs well with Pink Impression tulip, Royal fern, and Bobo hydrangea.
