Notes

'Maejima' winter daphne (Daphne odora 'Maejima') is a shrub for specimen planting, winter interest, containers, and foundation beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, loamy soil. The fragrant flowers draw bees and butterflies. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. This evergreen also tolerates salt.

Pairs well with Cherry laurel, Mondo grass, Paperbark maple, and Amsonia.
