Notes

'Mahogany Splendor' hibiscus (Hibiscus acetosella 'Mahogany Splendor') is a perennial for borders, containers, cut flowers, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The deep mahogany-red foliage works well for cutting and as a garden accent. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the flowers.

Pairs well with False indigo, Purple top, and Lemongrass.
