Notes
'Mainauperle' rose (Rosa 'Mainauperle') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The fragrant, dark red blooms open in late spring, again in early to late summer, and once more in early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Reimer Kordes bred it in 1973.
Pairs well with Lamb’s ear, Fountain grass, and The President clematis.
