Notes

Maple (Acer triflorum) is a tree for borders, specimen planting, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows slowly into a dense tree with leaves that turn gold, orange, and red in fall. Bees visit the greenish yellow flowers.

Pairs well with Star magnolia, Cinnamon fern, Green Spice coral bells, and Switchgrass.
