Notes
'Margarita' Carolina jessamine (Gelsemium sempervirens 'Margarita') is a vine for trellises, fences, and arbors. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun. It bears clear yellow trumpet flowers in late spring and early summer, with semi-evergreen leaves. The blooms are larger and more prominent than those of the species. Butterflies and hummingbirds visit the flowers.
Pairs well with Bigleaf hydrangea, Fountain grass, and Western redbud.
