Notes

'Marguerite Gaudichau' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Marguerite Gaudichau') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Millet & Son bred it. The large double blooms are light rose-pink with white edges and have a sweet but weak fragrance. The petals are toothed in the center, which gives a carnation-like look.

Pairs well with Swamp milkweed, Invincibelle Ruby smooth hydrangea, Cinnamon fern, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
