Notes

'Mariandel' rose (Rosa 'Mariandel') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Its fragrant, ruffled medium red blooms sit against glossy dark green leaves. Bees visit the flowers, which open in late spring, summer, and early autumn. Reimer Kordes bred it, and John Mattock introduced it in 1987.

Pairs well with Delphinium, Japanese forest grass, and Sedge.
