Notes
'Marie-Paule Pelland' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Marie-Paule Pelland') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Serge Fafard bred it. The early foliage emerges burgundy and matures to green. White Japanese-form blooms open in spring, with three blooms per stem and a center of narrow yellow staminodes.
Pairs well with Siberian iris, New England aster, and Cinnamon fern.
