Notes
'MaryKate' peony (Paeonia 'MaryKate') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, light pink blooms have salmon undertones and a cupped form. Upright stems reach 24 inches and need no support. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.
Pairs well with June hosta, Queen of Night tulip, and Prairie dropseed.
