Notes

'Mattie Lafuze' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Mattie Lafuze') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant white double blooms open in mid to late spring with a faint tinge of pink. Mature plants can bear flowers up to ten inches across, and the stiff stems hold them up well.

Pairs well with Siberian iris, New England aster, and Black chokeberry.
