Notes

Meadow garlic (Allium canadense) is a vegetable for food gardens, borders, and meadows. It is typically grown as an annual. It is one of the more cold-hardy crops and can keep growing through light freezes with some winter protection. This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to moist soil of most types. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Grow it for its bulbs, which taste like cultivated onion.

Pairs well with Carrot, Lime basil, Black Prince tomato, and Whorled milkweed.
