Notes

Wild leek (Allium tricoccum) is a vegetable for food gardens, shade gardens, and woodland settings. It is typically grown as an annual. Few crops handle cold as well, and with a little winter protection it grows on through light freezes. This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It is grown for salads and soups, and the leaves and bulbs have a mild onion taste.

Pairs well with Blue wood aster, Canadian white violet, and Virginia strawberry.
