Notes

Mexican shrubby spurge (Euphorbia cotinifolia) is a shrub for borders, specimen planting, and privacy screens. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 10 and warmer, down to about 30°F (-1°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Its red and burgundy leaves stay on the plant all year, and white flowers open from early to late summer. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. It reaches 10 to 15 feet tall and wide.

Pairs well with Bird of paradise, Lemon verbena, and Ponytail palm.
