Notes

'Mexico' gladiolus (Gladiolus 'Mexico') is a bulb for borders and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, loamy soil. The fragrant, dark purple-red blooms open on tall stems about 63 inches high. Bees visit the flowers. Tjeerd Dijkstra bred it, and it blooms in early to late summer.

Pairs well with Daffodil, Fountain grass, and Snapdragon.
