Notes

'Midnight Blue' rose (Rosa 'Midnight Blue') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, containers, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. It stays compact, at 30 to 35 inches tall and 18 to 24 inches wide. The mauve blooms are fragrant and attract bees in late spring, summer, and early autumn. Thomas F. Carruth bred it, and Weeks Roses introduced it in 2003.

Pairs well with Culver’s root, Blue fescue, and Dense blazing star.
