Notes

'Midnight Serenade' peony (Paeonia 'Midnight Serenade') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Cream to light yellow blooms with maroon flares open in early to late spring and attract butterflies. Derek Irvine bred it. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Blue star, Balloon flower, and Big bluestem.
