Notes

'Mikado' rose (Rosa 'Mikado') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The upright plant has fragrant red blend blooms that attract bees. Flowers open in late spring, again in early to late summer, and once more in early autumn. Seizo Suzuki bred it in 1987.

Pairs well with Butterfly bush, Maltese cross, and Casa Blanca lily.
