Notes

'MinnblueA' little bluestem (Schizachyrium scoparium 'MinnblueA') is a grass for borders, meadows, rain gardens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer tend to pass it by. It grows in a clumping form and tolerates drought. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit it, and the foliage turns color in fall.

Pairs well with Goldsturm black-eyed Susan, White Swan coneflower, and New Jersey tea.
