Notes

'Twilight Zone' little bluestem (Schizachyrium scoparium 'Twilight Zone') is a grass for borders, meadows, rain gardens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It grows in a clumping form that reaches 48 to 54 inches tall. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit it, and it handles dry spells well. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Goldsturm black-eyed Susan, Spotted joe-pye weed, and New Jersey tea.
