Notes

'Mistral' coneflower (Echinacea purpurea 'Mistral') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, pollinator gardens, and cut flower beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Pink petals surround a bronze-orange center cone from early to late summer, and butterflies, bees, and birds visit the blooms. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It also tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Indian Summer rudbeckia, Indian grass, Moonshine yarrow, and Nodding onion.
