Notes
Mock orange (Philadelphus pekinensis) is a shrub for hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. It grows 48 to 72 inches tall and wide, so it fills a hedge row well. White flowers open in late spring and smell sweet.
Pairs well with Ocean spray, Purple Pillar rose of sharon, Casa Blanca lily, and Monkshood.
Native range
Northern and western China.
