Notes

'Monem' bay tree (Laurus nobilis 'Monem') is a shrub for containers, specimen planting, hedges, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows in a conical shape, and the evergreen leaves are fragrant. Birds visit the plant, and it blooms in early to late spring. Deer rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with White sage, Redwood, Calla lily, and Asiatic jasmine.
