Moneva Colorado spruce

Garden uses

Notes

'Moneva' Colorado spruce (Picea pungens 'Moneva') is an evergreen tree for specimen planting, accent, privacy screen, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy or clay soil. It has a columnar shape and grows slowly, so it stays tidy for years. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Give it room to show off its narrow form.

Pairs well with Danica American arborvitae, Abbotswood shrubby cinquefoil, and Red fescue.
