Notes
'Monham' Virginia creeper (Parthenocissus quinquefolia 'Monham') is a vine for privacy screens, hedges, and woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It climbs fast and can reach 30 to 50 feet tall. Greenish-white flowers in spring and summer attract bees, and birds visit too.
Pairs well with Common snowberry, Sensitive fern, and American elm.
