Notes

'Monte Gordo' gladiolus (Gladiolus 'Monte Gordo') is a bulb for borders and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, loamy soil. The red-pink blooms are fragrant and attract bees. They open in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Tjeerd Dijkstra bred it, and the stems reach about 59 inches tall.

Pairs well with Peony, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Spurge.
