Notes

'Montezuma' rose (Rosa 'Montezuma') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. It stays compact and bears fragrant orange-pink blooms in late spring, summer, and early autumn. Bees visit the flowers, and the glossy leaves stay leathery and green. Herbert C. Swim bred it in 1956.

Pairs well with Little Lime panicle hydrangea, Gladiator ornamental onion, and Green Spice coral bells.
