Notes

'Montmorency' cherry (Prunus cerasus 'Montmorency') is a tree for borders, pollinator gardens, and low maintenance landscapes. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Bees, butterflies, and birds visit the blooms and fruit. It is self-fertile, so one tree can set fruit alone. The tart cherries are grown for culinary use, and you can pick them early in the season.

Pairs well with Hawthorn, Gladiator ornamental onion, and Perennial candytuft.
