Notes

'Mrs. Cesarini' Colorado spruce (Picea pungens 'Mrs. Cesarini') is an evergreen tree for borders, specimens, accents, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows slowly into a columnar form that reaches 24 to 36 inches tall. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Birds visit it, and it tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Compactus winged spindle tree, Firewitch cheddar pink, and Stonecrop.
