Notes

'Compactus' winged spindle tree (Euonymus alatus 'Compactus') is a shrub for borders, hedges, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It grows into a dense shrub at a moderate pace, and bees and birds visit it. It also tolerates drought. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Christmas fern, Sedge, and White fir.
