Notes
'Mrs. Louise B. Watts' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Mrs. Louise B. Watts') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Arthur L. Murawska bred it. The deep pink double blooms open in mid to late spring on stiff, strong stems that hold the flowers erect. It grows about 40 inches tall, so it makes a good cut flower.
Pairs well with Queen of Night tulip, Alaska violet, and Kentucky bluegrass.
