Notes

'Myron Branson' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Myron Branson') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The huge red flowers have light pink centers and open above the foliage in early to mid spring. The bush grows up to 37 inches tall and can sprawl a bit. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Showy milkweed, Pink Impression tulip, and Sensitive fern.
