Notes
'Mystic Merlin' common mallow (Malva sylvestris 'Mystic Merlin') is a perennial for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Tall stems reach about 47 to 59 inches, so place it toward the back of a bed. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms in summer and autumn.
Pairs well with Sweet William, Plenum Violaceum hardy geranium, and Licorice plant.
