Notes
'NCSX1' spirea (Spiraea 'NCSX1') is a shrub for hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. It blooms red-purple in late spring and early summer, and the leaves turn color in fall. It sits low on the menu for deer. It grows 18 to 24 inches tall and 18 to 30 inches wide, so it suits a low hedge.
Pairs well with Karl Rosenfield peony, Cinnamon fern, and Black Parrot tulip.
