Notes

'Nellie' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Nellie') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its single blooms open rose-pink and fade almost white, with a small tuft of yellow stamens in the center. The stiff stems hold flowers in clusters in mid to late spring. H.A. Terry bred it.

Pairs well with Balloon flower, Royal fern, and Pink Impression tulip.
