Notes

'News' rose (Rosa 'News') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The upright shrub grows 24 to 47 inches tall and has glossy, medium green leaves. Fragrant mauve blooms appear in late spring, summer, and early autumn, and bees visit them. Edward Burton Le Grice bred it in 1968.

Pairs well with Stargazer lily, Pink, and Buffalo grass.
