Notes

'Notwoodone' rose of sharon (Hibiscus syriacus 'Notwoodone') is a shrub for pollinator gardens and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet soil. It grows fast and stands tall, with an erect habit. Semi-double lavender flowers open in summer and attract butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. Deer rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Buttonbush, Big bluestem, and Casa Blanca lily.
