Notes

'Octavia' raspberry (Rubus idaeus 'Octavia') is a shrub for food gardens, hedges, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It has an arching habit and grows at a moderate pace. Bees, butterflies, and birds visit the flowers in spring and summer.

Pairs well with Empire apple, Chokeberry, Karl Rosenfield peony, and African marigold.
