Notes
'Okina' lilyturf (Liriope muscari 'Okina') is a perennial for borders, ground cover, shade gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It forms a clumping, evergreen mound that is drought tolerant and salt tolerant. Lilac purple flowers appear from early to late summer and again in early autumn. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.
Pairs well with Autumn fern, Oakleaf hydrangea, and New England aster.
