Notes

'Royal Purple' lilyturf (Liriope muscari 'Royal Purple') is a perennial for borders, ground cover, shade gardens, and foundation plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Dark purple flowers appear in summer, and this evergreen clump stays green through the year. It tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Wild geranium, Autumn fern, and Oakleaf hydrangea.
