Notes

'Ovation' coneflower (Echinacea purpurea 'Ovation') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Rose-pink blooms open from early to late summer on erect stems 30 to 36 inches tall, and butterflies, bees, and birds visit them. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Little bluestem, Moonshine yarrow, Indian Summer rudbeckia, and Nodding onion.
