Notes

'Pamina' Japanese thimbleweed (Eriocapitella hupehensis 'Pamina') is a perennial for borders, low maintenance beds, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It blooms for a long period with pink flowers, and butterflies and bees visit them. The stems move in the breeze.

Pairs well with Karl Foerster feather reed grass, White Swan coneflower, and Yakushima Dwarf eulalia.
