Notes

'Parade Leader' peony (Paeonia 'Parade Leader') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It grows up to 35 inches tall and bears big, single, fragrant red blooms that attract bees and butterflies. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Eastern columbine, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Incrediball Storm Proof smooth hydrangea.
