Notes

'Paramount' peony (Paeonia 'Paramount') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The big, single, light pink flowers are fragrant and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with White Swan coneflower, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Halcyon hosta.
