Notes
'Peking' tulip (Tulipa 'Peking') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. The dark pink-red blooms open from early to late spring. Each flower has bright tomato red petals inside, a golden yellow base, and bluish black anthers. I.V.T. bred it.
Pairs well with Ice Follies daffodil, Many Happy Returns peony, and Little bluestem.
